Over 2000 competitively priced items stocked. We sell fresh fruit and vegetables delivered daily, newspapers and magazines, a wide range of ‘free-from’, organic, Fairtrade and speciality foods, household goods, cards and stationery, wine and spirits.
We support over 30 local producers within a five mile radius supplying native-breed meat, free-range eggs, bread, cakes and sandwiches, a large selection of dairy, cider and beer.
The shop is also a mini-rural information centre providing maps, details of local services and up and coming events.
Our self-service coffee shop provides a variety of beverages available to be taken away or enjoyed in our pretty, oak-framed coffee shop surrounded by local arts and crafts. Drinks include:
Cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches and snacks can be bought from the shop. A microwave is available in the coffee shop for customers to use.
There is a community computer with Microsoft Office software installed (Word, PowerPoint & Publisher), and Wi-Fi which can be used free of charge, thanks a Gigaclear community connection. We also have a printer and copier, a book swap service, and information on local businesses and places to visit/stay.
The coffee shop is also used by various community groups and is available for hire. Please contact the shop for details.
We offer a buy/swap scheme, only 50p per book. The money made from this is used to purchase items for the community, or is donated to charity.
The main post office is open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5.15pm, and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm, offering most post office services including mail, banking, withdrawal, deposits and payments.
There are two post office collections a day Monday to Friday (last collection 4.15pm) and a post box outside the shop with collections Monday to Friday (last collection 4.15pm) and Saturday (last collection 11:00am).
